Cindy Aldape is recovering from surgery she had early last week..
Continue to pray for Susie Simpson as she recovers from radiation treatments.
Continue to pray for Pat Bell as she begins cancer treatment.
Pray for the staff and children in the Life Saver Orphanage that we are supporting in Haiti. Civil protests have pretty much shut down the country. The schools are closed and getting food is getting harder especially up on the mountain where they live. The conditions in Haiti will determine whether or not we are able to send a mission team to the orphanage over Christmas break.
Continue to pray for our ministry partner, Pastor Manuel Estebane, in Juarez, Mexico, as he continues to recover from cancer surgery and treatment.
Outreach
If you would like to help with community outreach and visitation, join us on Tuesday afternoons @ 4:30pm as we contact our neighbors who have visited or expressed an interest in CIC.
October 25th: We are planning a community event here at CIC. We have invited Tyrone Flowers to share his story and testimony. We will be inviting families throughout our neighborhood and the 2 schools that we are working in. October 27th: Immediately following the morning service, we will have a reception for Josiah and Kate King as they move on to a new ministry in Raymore, MO.
***October 31st: Shawanoe Elementary is having their annual Fall Fest. Decorated trunks are still needed. Please use this link to sign up you and your trunk to distribute candy: Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat Sign up Sheet We will also be collecting large bags of candy and boxes of snack cakes to hand out with the games. November 15th: Join us for a fund raising dinner for the Life Saver Orphanage, in Haiti, that we are supporting as a church. Jacques Senat will share about the progress on finishing the upper floor of the orphanage and the needs of the facilities and the kids. We will also be asking for individuals and families to financially “adopt” each of the kids in the orphanage. We would love to have each of the 20 kids supported by families and folks from CIC. To learn more about what is happening at the orphanage and how God is working in Haiti, plan to attend.
November 20th: We will have our annual Community Thanksgiving dinner @ 6pm. This has been a great ministry to the neighborhood in the past and we are excited about the possibilities here in our new facility.
Coming Events
November 8-9th: Ladies, join us for our fall retreat. We will be going to Weston, MO. Friday will be filled with Bible study and fellowship. Saturday we will have some fun shopping and fellowshiping together. We plan to be home by late afternoon on Saturday. Please sign up in the lobby if you would like to join the fun.
