Ramblings
Oh, that’s the way, uh-huh uh-huh, I like it…
The last two weeks have been crazy busy. We have been working non-stop moving everything and getting the building ready for services this Sunday. And that’s the way I like it…It has been a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. I am grateful for the people that have been able to help out. I am amazed at our church and the incredible people that God has drawn together to form the body known as Community Impact Church. Speaking of being known, the new sign went up yesterday and it looks awesome. It is incredibly bright when it is lit up at night. 5,000 postcards have gone out. Around 1,000 door hangers have been distributed. Every day, many people walk by the church and see the work that is going on there. We are meeting our neighbors in the shopping center. I walk into Mr. D’s Donuts and they call me by name. I guess that is better than at the liquor store on the other side of the courtyard. Anyway, there is something special going on. Our church has moved into a location where we can truly be seen as part of the community. The visibility and accessibility is going to be so beneficial for what we are seeking to accomplish. As hard as it is to believe, on the second anniversary of Community Impact Church, we will begin the next chapter in the life of our church. The last few days, as I have wandered around our new building and prayed, it is finally seeming like a reality. I just can’t believe that God is going to let us use such a wonderful place. It is amazing. He has given to us an incredible resource that we will use for His glory and honor. I can’t wait to see all of the ways in which we are led to use the building to advance the kingdom of God. Church, let me just say thank you for your faithfulness to the cause of Christ. We stand on the edge of a new era in the life of our church. Let’s celebrate this time together and see where this journey takes us next.
Therefore, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, knowing that your labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58)
You are loved,
Larry
